When you see a screen that is similar to the one shown below in the doorbell device tab, your wired doorbell is offline due to either a power outage or Internet disconnection. This article will provide some tips on how to resolve the issue when it occurs.
If the device in your house is offline, please check your WiFi signal or router.
If the issue only happens on the wired doorbell, please try the following tips:
-
Check if the power is on.
-
Check if the working temperature is within -4°f (-20°C) to 122°F (50°C).
-
Check if the transformer provides 16-24VAC voltage.
-
Check if the wires are firmly connected to the wired doorbell.
-
Please reset your doorbell by pressing the sync button at the back of the wired doorbell. If you do, you’ll have to reconnect it to the app.
-
Enable your phone’s Hotspot so that your doorbell connects to the phone’s Hotspot. Refer to How to pair your WUUK Smart Doorbell with your phone's hotspot?
If the doorbell can connect to your Hotspot but is unable to connect to your WiFi, then the issue might be related to your router/WiFi settings. Please try the following steps.
-
Confirm if your WiFi is encrypted by WPA-PSK or WPA2-PSK
-
Reset the router
-
If possible, move the router closer to the doorbell. The distance between the doorbell and the router should be within 30 ft.
If the issue persists after trying the above troubleshooting steps, please contact WUUK Support Team for further assistance.
