Firmware updates are essential to maintain the performance and security of your WUUK doorbell.
If you've encountered issues with updating the firmware, please follow the instructions below to attempt the update once more.
-
The network connection might not be stable. There should be a Wi-Fi signal displayed on the dashboard, next to the battery icon. Make sure the signal strength is good during the update.
-
Place the chime and doorbell relatively close to each other and your phone. During the firmware update, these three components need to communicate, and having them closer can reduce the data transfer distance. Also, ensure that the WUUK app is running in the foreground during the update.
If the firmware update fails again, you can manually update the firmware using a 32GB or 64GB SD card.
Here is the link to the firmware file: Firmware File Link
Please follow these steps to update the firmware:
- Download the provided file and save it to an SD card.
- Unplug the doorbell and insert the SD card into the doorbell.
- Power the doorbell back on. The firmware update will start, and you'll notice the status light flashing alternately in red and blue.
- It may take a few minutes for the camera to come back online, and the status light will turn solid blue after the reboot is complete.
If manual firmware updating fails, contact WUUK customer support.
