The doorbell works in scenarios with or without existing doorbell wires.
If your house does not have existing doorbell wires, the doorbell gets power from its internal battery.
If you have doorbell wires at the front door and don't want to recharge the battery, you can connect the doorbell wires to the doorbell and charge it continuously.
NOTE: The battery life varies depending on usage. In most common cases, a doorbell may have up to 10 events per day and each recording lasts 15 seconds on average. Under this scenario, the doorbell battery life can last up to 6 months.
But many factors influence battery consumption, such as the signal between the chime and the doorbell, the frequent triggers, and the long-time use of live view, etc. And if the battery consumption is higher than the power supplied, the battery may be drained even though it's hardwired.
Requirement:
Internet with at least 2Mbps upload speed.
Android 5.1+ or iOS 13+ (3GB RAM at least required)
Note: Video processing requires your mobile phone hardware support. Some old models of phones cannot support HD videos as the chips they use lack the required processing power. However, you can put the device in SD mode and it will work correctly.
