Introduction:
Pairing your chime with a wired doorbell is essential for a seamless home security system. If you're encountering difficulties during the pairing process, don't worry. This troubleshooting guide will help you identify and resolve the issue, ensuring your WUUK chime and wired doorbell work in perfect harmony.
Step 1: Verify Power and Network
Confirm that both your chime and wired doorbell have a stable power supply.
Make sure that they are connected to the same 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network for a successful pairing.
Step 2: Reset the Chime
Start by unplugging the chime from the power source and waiting for about 10 seconds.
Plug it back in, and give it some time to reboot. A fresh start can sometimes resolve pairing issues.
Step 3: Place Devices in Proximity
Move the chime and the doorbell closer together during the pairing process. Sometimes, issues can arise due to inadequate signal strength.
Step 4: Retry the Pairing Process
Open the WUUK app on your smartphone.
Click + on the top right corner and Follow the on-screen instructions for pairing the doorbell again, then the chime.
Make sure you choose the product model correctly in the app.
Step 5: Update Firmware
Ensure that your wired doorbell has the latest firmware updates installed. Updating firmware can address compatibility and pairing issues.
If all else fails and you're still unable to pair the chime with your wired doorbell, reach out to WUUK customer support.
