Introduction:
The WUUK chime is a valuable component of your home security system, providing audio notifications when someone presses your WUUK wired video doorbell. However, if you find that your WUUK chime has become disconnected from the paired doorbell, don't worry; there are several steps you can take to resolve the issue.
Step 1: Check Power and Connection
Before diving into troubleshooting, ensure that the WUUK chime is receiving power. Plug it into a functional electrical outlet.
Confirm that your wired video doorbell has a stable power supply and a reliable internet connection. These are essential for proper functionality.
Step 2: Reboot the WUUK Chime
If your chime isn't responding, unplug it from the power source and wait for about 10 seconds.
Plug it back in and give it a few minutes to reboot and establish a connection with the doorbell.
Step 3: Reconnect the Chime to the Doorbell
Open the WUUK Security app on your smartphone.
Click the + icon on the top right corner and start over the pairing process with the devices.
Step 4: Check Wi-Fi Network
Make sure both the WUUK chime and the video doorbell are connected to the same 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network.
If necessary, reset your Wi-Fi settings on the chime and reconfigure it to connect to the correct network.
Step 5: Update Firmware
Regularly check for firmware updates for both your WUUK chime and the video doorbell. Firmware updates often contain bug fixes and improvements that can address connectivity issues.
Step 6: Check the chime's Volume settings
Verify that you haven't inadvertently mute the volume of the chime. Go to your chime's settings and adjust the volume and ringtone.
If, despite your best efforts, the chime remains disconnected, it's time to reach out to WUUK customer support.
