Why does my doorbell not detect motion?

1. Please make sure the area you want to detect falls within the doorbell camera viewing area.
2. Please turn on motion in the settings and increase the sensitivity level.
3. Please make sure you have enabled cloud storage or use SD card in the chime

What is the detection range of the motion sensor?

It depends on the mounting height and angle. The sensor can detect objects moving as far as 3 - 7 meters (9.8 - 23 feet) away for the straight line distance.

Does the doorbell detect vehicles and animals?

In most cases, the doorbell can capture motions from vehicles and animals.

When the Motion Sensor (PIR sensor) detects motion and heat from a moving object, it triggers the camera to start recording.

The heat from most cars and animals can trigger the camera, and their motion will be captured. Vehicle engines emit lots of heat so that vehicles far away may trigger the camera in some cases.

You can filter out motions from vehicles and animals by enabling human detection in the motion settings page.
