When your home is facing a busy street with many cars and pedestrians, the lowest motion sensitivity may still detect too many events and drain the battery quickly. Activating Power Saving Mode can help with filtering out unwanted movements like passing cars and reduce the number of detected events. On the other hand, it may also filter out people passing by in rare cases.
In Power Saving Mode, we will lower the response time of motion detection. You can try different motion sensitivity to find a proper setting. We recommend that you set a value for motion sensitivity, wait for one day, and check how many events are detected. To achieve a good battery life, we recommend you keep the number of detected events under 100 per day.
After you set motion sensitivity to the lowest and activate Power Saving Mode, if there are still too many events detected, we recommend that you turn off motion detection or connect the doorbell with hardwiring.
